Shaaaaaaarkkkkk!

This summer is about to get steamy with Blind Date Live: Queer Pool Party! Hold onto your sun hats, because Asheville’s favorite live dating show is back and it’s making a bigger splash than ever—with plenty of excitement, hot dogs, and maybe even a few fireworks.

Oh, also, THERE IS NO LITERAL POOL. Use your imaginations.

Co-hosted by coastal cutie Cayla Clark and perma-sunburned Donnie Rex Bishop, this edition promises more than just a few ripples. Picture it: beach balls and sparks flying, cocktails flowing, and hot singles mingling in and out of the metaphorical water.

I’m getting drenched just thinking about it.

Let’s not forget our on-duty lifeguard, Toni Brown, ready to save the day with her whistle, should anyone get carried away by the waves… or the romance.

What’s a Queer Pool Party, you ask? And how does Blind Date Live even work?

Cayla takes care of all the matchmaking well before the show, pairing three couples that are compatible and have a real shot at romance. This time, all the couples are queer — but the show is for EVERYONE! Whether you’re straight as a pool noodle, married, single, or poly, everyone is welcome! There’s no audience participation; you’re just there to watch the dates unfold and enjoy the hilarity.

So, slip into your sexiest swimwear or sarong and slather on that sunscreen, because Blind Date Live: Queer Pool Party is the only place to be if you’re looking to ride the last wave of summer straight into a flirty, splashy sunset.

The show will kick off with a fun “Pool Party” from 6:30 pm to 8 pm, featuring fundraising, food, flirtation, and tunes from Asheville’s own DJ Savvy G.

During the event you’ll have the cool opportunity to bid on local fare from some of our favorite small businesses. You know what’s even cooler? 100% of the auction proceeds will go right back to the community. Every dollar from each winning bid will be donated to Tranzmission, a non-profit offering education, advocacy, and support for non-binary and transgender people in Western North Carolina.
