It very loosely outlines the story of Arthur, who in real life was the man who married Ray Davies’ sister and convinced her to move to Australia.Not Arthur is a concept album, written and recorded by The Remantlists, which shares only the song titles, in order, of Arthur, by The Kinks. Unsuccessful in his efforts, Arthur is approached by an older musician who has a supernatural offering to lift Arthur’s despair, which turns out to be a plan of revenge.
OUTPOST: We Have Ignition w/ Carpal Tullar and Fire Flower
– ALL AGES- STANDING ROOM ONLY- RAIN OR SHINE We Have Ignition draws upon inspiration from artists such as Man or Astro-Man?, Dick Dale, Queens of the Stone Age, and Ennio Morricone to create an all instrumental sound falling in the realm of heavy driven surf Rock. The band consists of JC Mears(drums), Jeff Manson (bass), and Robert Lloyd Martin on guitar.Robert (RL) has played with Eric Bachmann in a variety of settings, including a stint with Crooked Fingers. In addition to We Have Ignition, RL is a regular contributor/collaborator with Puddle’s Pity Party. Opening sets by Fire Flower and Carpal Tullar.

Chris Tullar has been making Carpal Tullar albums for over 25 years, and the band plays a wide variety of originals and also some covers. The music is infectious, lyrically captivating, and spattered with influences from the greats of the 1960s and 70s.The current live band has been active since 2016, and consists of Chris Tullar (lead vocals, keys, guitar), Dave Baker (backing vocals, guitar, keys), Rob Heyer (bass), and Troy Crossley (drums, vocals), whom you may recognize from The Lefties, Ska City, or Modern Strangers.Carpal Tullar has been played on 98.1 The River, WNCW, Asheville FM, appeared on NPR’s All Songs Considered podcast, opened for Tiffany, and even made a musical appearance on the popular NPR radio show Car Talk. In 2022, Carpal Tullar’s song, TSA, was chosen by Holy Crap Records as a top ten song of 2021. With a growing catalog of approximately 40 songs ranging from The Byrds to Cream to The Moody Blues to The Doors, Flashback Fringe will take your audiences back to the era that contributed incredible songs to music history.
OUTPOST: Copperhead FREE SHOW
– ALL AGES- STANDING ROOM ONLY- RAIN OR SHINE Formed around the campfire at the French Broad River Festival in 2016,Copperhead began playing gigs in 2019. The band works to take your old favorite songs new places and has an array of accessible original songs to complement their catalog. Copperhead is Michael Thurman on guitar and vocals. JayCopley also jams guitar and vocals. Eric Snoddy hangs out in the lowlands on bass. George Hodges,Jr. imitates guitar and vocals. Mark Murphy plays piano, Hammond, and also vocals. Jenn Webb holds us all together on the drum kit and/or percussion.
