Their music is played on an array of large wooden African-style marimbas, accompanied by hand percussion and drum kit. Chikomo Marimba is known for their high-energy, tight arrangements, and infectiously joyful grooves. They are sure to get people of all ages up and shaking their bodies!

Originally founded in 2012 as a marching band for the underground queer festival “Endless Gaycation,” Wit’s End has spent more than a decade playing events, protests, and parades large and small. Song choices span eras across the globe ranging from contemporary covers to South American folk music, Turkish psyche, modern jazz, New Orleans originals and of course, plenty of Cumbia! They are a portable party of tradition and experimentation, skill and whimsy, love, camaraderie and music.

Since his 2005 arrival in America, Keita has worked with some of the biggest names in modern music including Yo Yo Ma, the Assad Brothers, Maria Schneider, Romero Lubambo, Clarice Assad, Jaques Morelenbaum, Osvaldo Golijov, Les Nubians, Charlie Hunter, Benny Green, Eric Harland, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Chicago Symphony Orchestra and more.
