We believe that we can unite to rebuild a community that embodies home, health, equity, and opportunity for all. The response from our community and beyond has been nothing short of extraordinary. For more information, or to get involved, reach out to [email protected] ANYA HINKLE Born in the Appalachian Mountains of Virginia, ANYA HINKLE’s music is steeped in the tones of folk and bluegrass and seasoned by travels across the world with vivid storytelling, vibrant musicianship, and arresting honesty. Anya won the Merlefest Chris Austin song contest and was a finalist in the Hazel Dickens songwriting competition in 2019 for her song “Ballad of Zona Abston,” and was runner-up in the International Acoustic Music Awards in 2022 for “Hills of Swannanoa.” She has recorded some 10 albums in various collaborations both in the US and Japan. Her most recent album OCEANIA was recorded at Citizen Vinyl in Asheville, NC with storied producer Kevin Moloney (U2, Sinéad O’Connor), featuring legendary Irish guitarist John Doyle and slide guitar master Billy Cardine. THE GREENLINERS The Greenliners are an Asheville based band made up of veteran musicians from the Western North Carolina scene. The five piece acoustic unit is known for mixing a unique blend of progressive bluegrass, Americana, and folk music and topping it off with a touch of jam. Their style incorporates traditional bluegrass elements like acoustic instruments—banjo, mandolin, guitar, upright bass, and dobro— while also infusing more contemporary influences. This gives their sound a fresh, modern take on roots music while honoring the traditions of Americana and bluegrass.
