We are saddened to learn that innovative sculptor and pioneer of Asheville's River Arts District John Payne has passed away. As owner of The Wedge building, John was instrumental in revitalizing this part of the city. Our little neighborhood is a safer and more beautiful place because of John. He will be sorely missed.
