The evening will feature live performances from Bandazian, Dice Fly High, and Lewis, as well as a spoken word performance by Glo DeAngelis and Randy Moser reading from The Vanished Messenger. Since the mid-90s, Catie Curtis has toured the U.S. and Europe extensively and appeared on bills with artists such as Dar Williams and Richard Thompson. A supporter of social causes, Curtis has played concerts benefiting organizations including Paul Newman's Hole In the Wall Gang Camp (for children with life-threatening illnesses), PFLAG (Parents, Families, & Friends of Lesbians & Gays), and others. Her songs have appeared in television shows as diverse as Grey's Anatomy, Dawson's Creek, Felicity, and Alias, and films such as 500 Miles to Graceland and A Slipping Down Life. Curtis returns to The Grey Eagle stage this Friday night @ 9pm w/ special guest Liz Carlisle. The Grey Eagle welcomes back renowned guitarist and rock and roll legend Jorma Kaukonen with Barry Mitterhoff.
Jorma is one of the most important guitarists of our time with a body of work lasting over three decades. His brilliant finger-picked fretwork and songwriting, a compelling blend of rock, blues, folk and country influences, has distinguished Jefferson Airplane and its equally legendary (and still active) spinoff band Hot Tuna.
