Last year, the Grey Eagle was proud to host a benefit concert for The Arthur Morgan School featuring Tim O'Brien and Darrell Scott. We are very pleased to announce the 2nd annual Arthur Morgan School Benefit featuring these two fantastic musicians on Sunday April 2nd at 7pm. When these two get together, it truly is a magical musical experience. They haven't played as a duo since last year's sold out benefit concert, and we do expect this year's benefit to sell out as well. Tickets are available now through our website, through the Arthur Morgan School, at The Grey Eagle, and at our usual ticket outlets: Harvest Records, Orbit DVD, and In Your Ear (West Asheville).
If you don't already have your tickets for the Silver Jews concert on Sunday, you'd better hurry on down and pick them up! We're already sold out online and we anticipate selling out completely before this weekend. We sure are proud to be hosting this legendary band on their first tour EVER! Don't miss your chance to see history in the making. This is a late show which will begin at 10:30pm. The Grey Eagle doors won't open until 9:30pm for Silver Jews ticket holders. You heard right folks!! There are no tickets remaining for The Rebelles performance this Wednesday night. For those of you who got tickets early, this is a 9pm show and it's general admission seating. Get here early for a great seat, a great meal, and some great drinks. Doors to the music room open at 8pm.
Their last two visits to Asheville, these guys shared the stage with The Black Crowes and Wilco. They were also the opening act for Van Halen's 2005 tour. This is their debut headlining show in Asheville and we're pleased as punch to be hosting them. Come check out a young, up and coming band that's approved by Wilco, The Black Crowes, and Van Halen!
