Slinky Sharp, who was scheduled to perform at our upcoming Valentine's Day party with Anthony B., passed away this weekend following a car accident on his way to Charlotte from Greenville.

Born in Kingston, Jamaica, and raised in Hanover, Jamaica; Slinky moved the U.S. in 1989. Slinky, a.k.a. Jermaine Cole, released his first single back in 1992 on the Strong Fence label. Up until his untimely passing, he was living and performing in and around the Charlotte, NC area.

The Valentine's Day concert will go on as planned, with a special remembrance of the man and his music.
