VIA
VIA
Following the success of “Vessels of Sound: Volume 1: She Knows” in 2017, VIA is set to release the first track off their new album along with a short film. “Firefly,” from the upcoming “Vessels of Sound: Volume 2: Morse,” asks the listener to reflect on the message of Morse code. The film converts it to a full sensory experience, with visuals that evoke female empowerment and how circumstances experienced during childhood shape us into adults.

Shoegaze / Electronic music out of Asheville, North Carolina. VIA was formed in 2007, with Karen Austin as singer, songwriter and producer, and Steven Gaona as guitarist, engineer and producer.
Miss Jean And The Love Cats
Miss Jean And The Love Cats
Just a guy & gal who want to play good music.

Indie, folky, type of whimsical-ness that may either make you sigh in awe or want to puke. 🙂
Kathryn O’Shea
Kathryn O’Shea
Kathryn is a banjo-playing singer/songwriter solo artist who was born and raised in Asheville, NC. Perfect for fans of Sufjan Stevens or Sarah Jarosz, Kathryn is known best for her hauntingly poignant lyricism and masterful vocal play. Her minimalistic banjo accompaniment lays a hypnotic foundation for her powerful vocal stylings to shine.

This autumn, Kathryn placed 2nd in the year-end finals of the 11th annual Brown Bag Songwriter’s Competition at The Asheville Music Hall and opened for the internationally renowned Los Angeles-based artist Terra Naomi at 7 Stages Theater in Atlanta. She is currently recording with music producer M.G. O'Shea, a talented audio engineer who just so happens to be her big brother. This summer, the two worked together to release Kathryn's debut single, "Snow." Immersive Atlanta wrote the following response (full review here) to the track:

"The moment Kathryn O’Shea’s enormous voice slips into the jaunty bustle of ‘Snow,’ you’ll surely wonder what record label she’s gunning for. With a timbre as dynamic as Florence Welsh, the singer/songwriter strips back the sentimental mush from falling snow to tell a clever tale about getting holed in for the winter; even in just four minutes, she fleshes out a character who wrestles with more than just frozen desire.”
Moonlight Street Folk
Moonlight Street Folk
Moonlight Street Folk is a dynamic 5 piece band based out of the mountains of Asheville, NC. Known for their whimsical stage chemistry, and harmonious prowess, they are pioneering a genre which they call "Street-Folk." With the help of the moon and an eclectic mix of influences, they jam out funky, soulful, original music built on a back-yard acoustic foundation. It’s a howlin’ good time!

The band was founded in October of 2016 by string strumming, song-writing duo Haley Swift and Amalia Grannis. Swift’s prowess on the mandolin paired with Amalia’s bold vocals and rhythm guitar offered the perfect back drop for their captivating harmony and electric chemistry. Inspired by the moon, the elements, and a few sleepless nights beside a fire, the duo began writing soulful reflective music together. The first of which, and a favorite among some of their fans, being “Power.”

In April 2017, they were joined by singer/songwriter/producer Ariel Joseph, on supporting vocals and percussion. Their collective sound was met with such a strong response that Asheville’s riverside bar, The Bywater adopted them for a weekly residency in the summer of 2017.

Toward the end of that fateful summer the trifecta expanded to include the bass stylings, and original song contributions of Mr. Charlie, as well as the the rhythmic expertise of Nick Marino. They quickly adapted fuller interpretations of their material and began writing and arranging music as a 5 piece unit.

The group spent the winter cultivating a loving bond which is evident in their live performances.
