The cracking and popping of old vinyl will never cease to take him back to his childhood. Whether it be the likes of Waylon Jennings, The Eagles, Skynyrd, Little Feat, (the list goes on) his musical influence is stuck in the decades before he was even an idea to exist. He picked up both a guitar and pair of drumsticks at age 14, but set the guitar aside as he set in with a couple bands behind a drumset during his late teens. After experiencing numerous losses and heartaches and financial hardships, he picked up his guitar again, but this time to tell his own stories and not his heroes. His main focus was putting every ounce of emotion in his voice while doing so. His influences have ranged from the likes of Billy Joe Shaver, Chris Knight, Guy Clark, Waylon Jennings, Billy Don Burns, Townes Van Zandt...just to name a few.

He has also had the "distinct privilege" (as he words it) of supporting a handful of reputable artists such as Shooter Jennings, American Aquarium, Ray Scott, and one of his songwriting heroes Billy Don Burns. That list continues to grow as well.

He has no intention of slowing down when it comes to keeping the sounds of traditional, American music alive.
