Two of our favorite West Asheville haunts, Orbit DVD and Beauty Parade, are celebrating their 3rd year anniversary with a tribute to two 60s legends that have died recently: Syd Barrett of Pink Floyd and Arthur Lee of Love. They are in need of some musicians that would like to play a cover or two for this event. A small fee will be charged at the door this evening that will go to charity. We are looking for ANY interpretation of their songs, be it punk, bluegrass, folk, whatever. Let Marc at Orbit DVD know by October 1st. Bands are already signing up, but there's still plenty of slots that can be filled. It's looking like a big night with a costume contest and psychedelic light show so don't be shy and sign up!
